Since the beginning of the Weinstein affair that erupted last October, a wave of actions of solidarity regarding sexual assault has spurred up on social networks like Facebook and Twitter. Inevitably, this kind of exposure to the problem has its consequences. The question is, however, what impact will it have on our society: will it be beneficial or harmful to us?

Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of the largest social network in the world, was summoned by US senators and representatives to the US Congress on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, following the Cambridge Analytica scandal which concerned the privacy of 2.13 billion users. This scandal, as well as previous cases involving Facebook, call into question the core of the business model of the company.

The change of statute of the Romanian Cultural Institute was announced in August 2012 and still sparks intense debates in the media. Will the Institute be able to remain independent politically speaking, or will the Institute’s work on promotion of the Romanian culture be influenced by the new majority?

There is now no doubt that energy independence is an issue of high priority for each country. For Ukraine this aspect is extremely important, because of its geopolitical situation. The question is how to benefit from a cooperation with Russia and Europe without loosing its independence.
